Jessica Cochran | EIT (US)
Jessica holds a M.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a concentration in hydraulics and certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), as supported by her thesis. Her background in biology and experience in the US provide another perspective for flood management, planning, and communication. Since joining the Ebbwater team in 2019, she has focused on water as a resource to be protected and modeling software as tools for analysis and informed management. She is passionate about conducting wholesome analyses, providing useful products, and engaging communities. She believes Ebbwater’s multidisciplinary approach with the goal of responsible and sustainable management encourages creative solutions.
Specializing in Hydraulic and Hydrologic (H&H) modeling and analyses, stormwater and watershed management planning, and floodplain mapping, Jessica’s interests combine water resources and environmental engineering. Her expertise in H&H applications of GIS include geodatabase development and management as well as integration with hydrologic studies and 1D/2D-integrated models. She is skilled in supporting software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, SWMM, ArcHydro, GWIS, and Esri ArcGIS and QGIS. Jessica is experienced with multi-disciplinary projects for both the public and private sectors.
